As Central Oregon continues to be one of the top destination wedding locations for couples, we can’t express how much we love shooting in this vastly different landscape from that of Northern Oregon.
Portland and Bend are worlds apart and each has a unique vibe. While the scene in Portland boasts of tall lush pines, moody overcast light, the crisp drizzly atmosphere, and Mt. Hood; there are times when we could trade it in for dry heat, rushing rivers and the dusty landscapes such as Smith Rock.
With a city like Bend, that is surrounded by mountains like Mt. Bachelor, Three Sisters, Broken Top, Mt. Jefferson and dense forests like Deschutes and Willamette National Forest, it is no wonder couples are finding Bend an ideal place to get hitched!
For most adventure-loving couples like Kevin and Jess, the outdoors are a great option to shoot one’s engagement session. With over 600 acres of high desert, rock face, desert blooms, and rocky hills, Smith Rock State Park is one of Central Oregon’s gems. Barefoot, engaged and so in love, Kevin and Jess get their feet dirty as they explore the desert vibes of this region.
