Yosemite Valley Engagement Session
When Kindra & Anthony got engaged, I suggested we shoot their engagement at Yosemite. Now neither of us had been to Yosemite and it was on Noah and my travel list, plus Kindra & Anthony live in Vegas, so each of us would be making a drive and it felt like a great location to meet in the middle.
For first timers visiting this extraordinary park it can get quite overwhelming for the main reason that is over 8k acres of forest and it is packed with visitors. Parking can be limited and phone services receive minimum reception, so planning in advance is vital.
We met up with Kindra and Anthony at a very easy and simple route, we took the El Portal/HWY 140 road so that we would enter through the ‘Tunnel View’, it’s the most breathtaking view and the most crowded too. From that meeting point we shot around El Capitan and around Yosemite Valley. Since, we were shooting in the fall we had to make the best of our sunset session factoring travel and outfit changes. We barely made it to the second location and outfit change but we were happy to make do with minimum light towards the end of our session.
