From Paris to Kalamazoo To Missourah

A French boy meets an American girl, this is the story of how an inter-cultural couple came to be.

In Paige’s hometown of Kalamazoo, Michigan, she met exchange student Francois. He was older, cute and from Paris! They had nothing in common.
They were different in all ways possible: language, culture, upbringing and he was only going to be in her town for the summer. Paige was 19 at that time and she says that even though it wasn’t love at first sight for her, she knew that Franc had fallen for her. She says “I never questioned his love for me.”
After graduating high school,Paige decided to take a trip to France. The two met up and before they knew it were declaring their love for each other. They married in the summer of 2014 and Franc followed Paige back to America. This time they moved to Missouri so Paige could finish up college. It was not until Paige’s senior year that I met her and we had so much in common. We became friends instantly over our love for photography.

Within the last few years, our friendship has grown as we glean off of each other’s work. She is such an inspiration to me, I love working with her. This last summer I visited her and Franc and they asked to celebrate their love by doing something different for their session. Their vision was to shoot in a quarry, the color and backdrop for their session against the hot blue sky will always be some favorite moments.
